NASA Kentucky is actively engaged with NASA and the state’s institutes of higher education on a variety of additional research, education and workforce development projects that will further space exploration and knowledge.
Many communities are taking extra steps to attract aerospace-related industries. For example, the newly formed Aerospace Alliance of East Kentucky is working to showcase the Eastern Kentucky region. The Alliance is using its current expertise to attract new and existing Aerosapce companies, from satellite manufacturers to drone makers.
Eastern Kentucky also has been certified Aero Ready. The region was certified due to its existing available labor force and ongoing educational programs.
